Australian luthiers Supplies is Australia's first online store selling timbers and other materials to guitar makers. While we don't have all the materials a guitar maker could need to build a guitar we have a good range of very high quality tonewoods for tops and backs & sides, machine heads as well as other parts like fingerboards, bridge blanks, nuts, saddles, fretwire and some other items which are not easily obtainable anywhere else like faded green veneer for authentic Hauser style purflings, reproduction Hauser 1937 rosettes and native Australian tone woods such as Queensland Maple and Tasmanian Blackwood. Some of the materials we are stocking are listed below.
Soundboards for classical, acoustic steel string and archtop guitars. - We have European Spruce and Western Red Cedar tops, in grades from AA to mastergrade.
Back & Sides sets for classical, acoustic steel string and archtop guitars. Traditional timbers including Flamed German Maple (European Maple), and Indian Rosewood back and sides sides for guitars as well as native Australian timbers such as Queensland Maple back and Flamed Tasmanian Blackwood.
Machine Heads for classical guitars - Reischl hand-made classical guitar machine heads - Rubner tuners for mandolin and classical guitar.
